The bridesmaids dresses are almost as important as the bride’s dress so it is essential for them to look and have the almost the same style. When choosing your bridesmaids’ dresses, the bride has to make sure that the color and design that she chooses will suit all her maids of honor. It can be a really hard decision to make, especially if you have very different maids of honor at your wedding and they are not all suited with the same style.

If the bridesmaids are really different, the best approach is to pick something simple that should suit any body type. Not too long or too short, also you need to make sure that it is also not in a color that might make one of the girls look bad so a neutral color is the best. When it comes to accessories, a good bridesmaid dress should be accessories with little or no jewelry, but if the bridesmaids insist on wearing jewelry, they should be all wearing something similar.

If the bridesmaids are all the same, you should pick the dresses based on their look; if they are more on the slim side, you can pick a short and more revealing dress. However, make sure that it is not too exaggerated, you don’t want them to look like they are heading for a girl’s wild night in a club.

If your bridesmaids are more on the plus size side, you should always go for simple cuts, neutral materials, and no exaggeration when it comes to length.

It is very important to make them all feel better in their dress because they are part of the best event of your life and their outfit should look accordingly.

When choosing bridesmaids’ dresses, the materials are also very important; also go with soft and easy to wear materials for summer, such as silk or cotton. For winter, you can choose even the wildest materials and make sure that your bridesmaids meet your expectation.

There is nothing more fun than a wedding party and without the bridesmaids looking good and smiling, we’re all left with a pretty sad crowd so we need to make them look and feel amazing.

We know how sensible teens are when they get something wrong about their physical appearance, so being aware of what you wear is a good thing. If you want to look good all the time without risking too much, just keep it simple. Use the trendy colors and some of the trendy outfits but never go overboard trying to be something that you are not. Besides, spending your money on fashion that will be out in a few months is not the most rational thing to do when you don’t have a job.

Keep makeup natural – when it comes to makeup teens will probably use it a lot because they might have acne. Tattoo – the new Wave in Accessories

When most people think about fashion accessories; not many people think of tattoos as an accessory. But they are considered a fashion accessory trend that is highly sought after not only the permanent ones but the temporary tattoos as well.

When deciding to get a tattoo a lot of factors play into getting one that represents you and your personality and where that tattoo is placed on your body that can make a statement as well. Whether you choose the so called “tramp stamp” which is known as a tattoo that is on your lower back, this is the latest trend when it comes to tattoos as well as the wrist tattoos, or the sleeve tattoos.

Whatever type of tattoo you choose make sure it is what you want because once it is permanent it is hard to remove, that is why a lot of people opt for a temporary or air brush tattoo, they look like the real thing but last only a few days, so you are not stuck with a tattoo that you may later regret.

The most common tattoos are on the ankle, wrists and lower back as well as the belly button. My sister in law got the prettiest tattoo I have ever seen on her belly she is of Irish descent and she got a circle of green clover with a Celtic cross that was simply gorgeous the color that was used was a beautiful shade of Kelly green.

So tattoos can make a fashion statement by the colors and the designs you want, as I stated earlier make sure you pick a tattoo and a color that you can live with because once it is there, you are pretty much stuck with it, and it is expensive and time consuming to remove.

The T-Shirt as the fashion rebel

T-shirt is all: sexuality, worship, rebellion, or simply a vogue brand. Today it is one of the most popular and most comfortable clothing. T-shirt is part of the wardrobe of everyone: men, women, children and even babies. It comes in all sizes, colours and designs. Usually t-shirts are made of 100% cotton, rayon or polyester or different blends of them. The material of the yarns gives it a distinctive texture, softness or rigidity and can fit to the body as a second skin or to be free and loose.

The English name of this clothing  – T-shirt – comes from the way the garment looks, namely the letter T. T-shirt story begins with the Industrial Revolution in England and the rise of the international trade. In the 19th century it evolved from underwear, which was split into two parts – upper and lower. At the beginning the T-shirt was worn as underwear, particularly to protect the skin from the rough fabrics of the clothes. After many experiments, cotton proved to be ideal material for T-shirts and underwear as it was soft and did not irritate the skin.

Miners were the first, who started to wear T-shirts, as they were comfortable dress for work, and even suitable for the environment in which they worked. During the World War I European soldiers started to wear T-shirts as well. They used them under their uniforms to feel warmer in winter. In hot days they used only the T-shirts. U.S. soldiers noticed that the French army used T-shirts instead of woolen uniforms and were attract by the idea. Thus the T-shirts became very popular in the U.S., introduced by the soldiers and the seamen. After the World War II it was frequently seen veterans to wear their uniform pants with casual clothes like T-shirts.

However, T-shirts became very fashionable due to the tennis. The tennis player Rene Lacoste, who in 1927 created a type of shirt with short sleeves and polo, called L.12.12. The way its name was formulated was very interesting: L is taken from Lacoste, 1 is a reference to unique material (cotton pique) and 2 means short sleeves. The second 12 refers to the number of prototypes that had to be produced, so as Rene Lacoste to be satisfied with the final result. The garment was rapidly adopted by the College of Laconia for its elegant and simple design and the free movements, enabled by the cut. This was the first step of the T-shirt to the catwalk.

The splendor of the lace

Lace is mysterious and stylish. It is a symbol of elegance and luxury, as well as the queen of textiles. Some artefacts sow that the most ancient examples of lace appeared 2500 BC in Egypt. These were nets decorated with small pearls and porcelain. The technology for knitting of nets, used for catching small animals, was applied for the “lace” as well. The decorative nets were used mainly for curtains and bedspreads, but not for clothing.

Lace

In the 12th and 13th centuries lace has appeared in clothes. Lace decorations were only used for the garments of the priests, located high in the church hierarchy. The popularity of lace, however, increased rapidly and it was spread among the cottage industry of Europe. It was the Renaissance, however, which led to the great spread of lace, mainly in Italy. Venetian style lace was extremely popular in Europe and was used even in furniture decoration. The first lace in Europe was actually a narrow strip with pointed teeth. Later on larger and more complicated patterns appeared.

In 15th-16th centuries the use of lace was widespread. The information comes from the Decree of Charles V (15th century), when the laces began to be taught in schools and monasteries of the Belgian provinces. This is a period of renaissance and enlightenment, and the laces quickly enter the field of fashion. At that time in the Belgian provinces were developed many styles and techniques for the manufacture of lace. Lace, knitted in Belgium was coarse and heavy, or light and delicate, with floral and geometric patterns. It cost almost as much as jewelry.

It is considered that Belgium is the cradle of lace. However, three countries nowadays compete to be the birthplace of the splendid decoration: Italy, France and Belgium.

In the 17th century the industry for production of lace in Italy was in a flourishing state. Almost all countries imported lace “Made in Italy”. In France, the lace became popular because of its qualities that make it suitable for scarves, collars, and ruffles. Lace was a favorite of royalty, especially Louis XIV – the Sun King. Although today lace is considered feminine adornment, in former times it was used in decoration of both female and male clothing.

The price of one gram of lace reached one gram of gold! Even though, the passion for lace became a real obsession and the purchase of this product required huge money… The reason was that the two techniques used for production: with a knitting needle and with hammers, were too slow and very expensive. These techniques are used even today, but for hand made production of lace.

In the 19th century a knitting machine for production of lace was invented. This increased enormously the variability in patterns and designs. On the other hand it leaded to fast lose of the skills for handmade lace manufacturing. The easy to find and the lower prices decreased the value of lace as a symbol of aristocracy. Once lace became widely available it was no longer so valuable and rare, and has become part of the clothing of everyone.

Fashion trends for women after 40

It is very easy to be 20: all fashion trends and designers collections are developed towards the target group of young girls and women with still perfect bodies. But what women after 30 or 40, and even 50 can do? Should they star out of the border of fashion trends and wear the clothes of their mothers? Certainly not.

All women after 40 perfectly know that the way of thinking, the adventure spirit and the internal well-being do not depend on the candles over the birthday cake. However, if the fashion trends or particular models are blindly copied on your body, the result may be quite strange. Therefore the women over 40 need a bit of ingenuity to be stylish and fashionable. For sure, there are women that have the same body as at the age of 20. But for must of the ladies the changes could be small, but visible. Let be frank: pregnancies, gravity and time are doing their work in converting your body to something a bit heavier, a bit flabby… The menopause is waiting just around the corner and it will do its job as well. It is not easy to look great with such a body, whilst dress in fashion, designed for 20 years younger women. The result may provoke confusion, frustration and even depression.

Be cool. The problem is not as heavy, as within the years you have gained wisdom and you know that the look is very important, but it cannot help when a charm, brain, professionalism or a good mood are not behind. You are like an old cathedral and should behave as such. And saying the word “Cathedral” it is easy to go ahead and to explain you the 3C rule for fashionable style for women after 40. Remember the 3C rule when you are choosing you new clothes and when you dress every morning.

The 3C rule is simple and based on three key words: classic, clean, and coverage.

Classical. Have you ever thought why so many nice things in the life are called “classical”? Sure, because they remain to be nice despite of the time. Therefore your first rule in choosing your wardrobe should be to select only clothes in classical style. Classical cuts stay elegant on every kind of body. Straight cuts, A-skirts and dresses, tailored jackets or Channel type jackets, flat front trousers will be perfect for you. The good news on the top is that you will save money in long-term period, as the classical clothes may be worn year after year.

Clean. The clean silhouette is the next part of the 3C rule. You have to forget about complicated cuts, the excess in details or colors, and the seams, which draw the attention. All these attract the eyes to your figure and split it into several parts, which increases the visibility of the imperfections.

Coverage. Be honest: your arms and legs have no the same shining skin as years ago. There is no need to cover your self in a scarf for the whole life, but better chose short sleeve model instead of sleeveless. Forget about uncovered shoulders and legs, especially in the city – leave the short-legged pants and mini skirt s for the beach. The modest neckline will not give the opportunity to anyone to peer into your skin.

Be trendy, look younger

There is nothing more desperate if a woman tries to look like 20 years girl, when she is 40. But this does not mean, that the fashion is only for young. The important thing is that over some age the woman should think first and try the new trends taking in mind the changes in her figure and overall look. Here you may find some tips what and how to wear in order to cover your small “imperfections”, whilst underlining the best parts of your figure.

Neckline. If you have nice bust, but you are overweight, the deep neckline can draw the eyes from the “wrong” parts of your body. Long U-neck or V-neck makes your neck look slimmer and longer. Make the fashion trends work for you: place a shirt with bold color to draw the attention to the upper part of your body and wear darker pants or skirts. However, if you are slim and tall, than to show the cleavage is not the best idea. But having such a body type has other advantages: you may wear high neck sweatshirts or scarves and you would never think how to avoid the gazes, fixed in your hips.

Trousers. There are several articles that suggest to women over 50 to wear cropped pants. The truth is that only few ladies may look good in capris or other 7/8 length pants. Unless you have really slim and tall figure, the cropped pants make you look fatter and shorter. The new season’s trend for flared legs is a big opportunity for women with larger hips. Long leg trousers with flared legs will make you look slimmer, without stressing on the difference between the overweigh thighs and the slim ankles. Slim ladies will be happy as well, as classic cuts are always on fashion. However, if you have the common problem with wider waist, avoid very slim legs to balance your figure.

Skirts and dresses. If you would like to look elegant or chick, or both of them, forget about the “classical” mid-knee hemline, which is so popular among ladies over 50. This length of the skirt screams: “Look at that old lady!”. If your figure is good for this, better wear skirts with a hemline that is 2 to 4 centimeters above the knee. Make a combination with a very long coat of a light material so as to look as in the 70s. If your knees are not in their best form to be shown, the Boho style is exactly for you. Moreover it is again on top of the fashion trends. Long flared skirts and dresses with a hemline around the ankles is a perfect choice for this season.

Jewelry. All women like diamonds and pearls, but they are made especially for ladies over 50s. You are wondering why? Because they add light to your face, staying so close to it. However, there is a small rule: if you are slim and graceful, diamonds or zirconium will make you shine. Pearls are for ladies with big bones as the pearls are more visible and stay better on bigger figures.
